In Innsbruck...

So it's our last morning in Innsbruck and Jonathan is in the shower, by bags are all packed so I figured I'd take the time to Blog about our trip so far... Our first stop was in Fuessen, which is a small town about half way between Munich and Innsbruck... We drove about 10 minutes to the castles Neuwschwanstein and Hohen Schwangau, but it was 3:15 and in the winter they stop touring the big one at 3 so we could only see the smaller hunting lodge... I was a bit disappointed because I remember last time we had an actual tour guide that spoke to us and gave us WAY more information than the little speakers they gave us... stupid technology... Oh well I was able to tell Jonathan a few of the things I remembered from the trip 6 or 7 years ago... In the evening we walked around Fuessen and found a place to eat dinner and then wanted to walk around a bit more, but everything closed at 8... we were both tired and we wanted to be able to walk around to stay away until at least 9 so we walked around anyway just to stay awake...

The next morning it was a quick stop by the castles to take better pictures of Neuschwanstein because it was cloudy the day before and then off to Innsbruck. We had a bit of trouble finding out hotel, but eventually got it and in the evening we went to the Christkindle Markt (a Christmas festival). we got a couple of little souvineers (sp???) and had some yummy food that wasn't too expensive YEAH. We tried to take pictures with these huge plastic people but they didn't turn out so well :(

Yesterday was SKIING... it was an adventure trying to find the right place to go, it wasn't actually really that hard just a lot farther than we had thought... then we rented skis and bought our lift tickets and got on a bus that brought us to the ski place (30 minutes later)... We had to take cable cars up to the slopes, and we stayed on the shorter easy runs for the morning. After lunch we tried the other slopes up another cable car... they were market blue... but they were kinda steep and I fell almost the whole way down... that one was not so much fun and after falling about a million times I was done... Jonathan went once more on a more difficult run and then it was to the souvineer shop and then down the cable car to the bus... Our bus ride back to the car was a bit CRAZY to say the least... we had a bus driver that wanted to go fast and would stop at nothing to do so, not only was he passing cars up in the mountains... but he also passed a BUS!!! I so thought I was going to die... but we made it to our car with minimal damage ;)
(BTW we are so lucky it happened to be sunday on the day we decided to ski because we would have been able to do NOTHING yesterday if it weren't for skiing because everything would have been closed)

well that's all for now, it to the sports store to try and find tony's jersey and then off to Venice Italy!!!
