sorry i've been MIA for a while...

Last weekend... (the one before last) was a crazy and relaxing at the same time... Saturday we had a wedding for on of Jonathan's friends up in Quincy IL, or so we thought. We get the the address Jonathan had written down at about 2:45 only to realize that Jonathan had written down the address of the reception and not the church. Of course he left the invitation in Carbondale so we were like ummmm SHIT!!! The hotel had no idea where the church was and Jonathan had forgotten his phone so he couldn't call anyone either... Luckily he remembered they had a website at the knot... and after searching found the website and the address of the church. The church was in carthage IL which is 45 min from Quincy... with 1/2 hour to get there Jonathan was panicing... got in the car and proceeded to go about 95 mph for the majority of the trip, except when we were stuck behind slow people... we got there at about 3:35 but the were still letting people in the church so we didn't miss anything!!! I guess it was a good thing that the invited SO many people to such a small church... The reception was majorly cramped... the hall they rented was really too small for the 250+ wedding they had... but it was fun, and I got to meet a bunch of Jonathan's forestry club friends and listen to some funny stories :)
So we stayed until about 11:30 (they were letting the reception go a bit longer because they wanted to empty the last keg...) and then we headed home... because Jonthan thought it would be better to drive home the same night rather than stay in a hotel room... His excuse was that he wanted to have a productive sunday at home, and not be driving half the day... While it was a good excuse, sunday ended up not being so productive, and he said we'll do a bunch tomorrow... well Monday came around and we had totally forgotten that they cable guys were coming between 12 and 5, until we were about to leave the house at 11:30... DAMN IT!!! SO we stayed at home waiting and waiting, and about 4:30 we called the cable company... and they said "well we do know the technician is running late, but they couldn't get a hold of the dispatching company so we just had to wait... GRRR so the guy showed up at 7:30... and looked around, and said that he needed to get another guy out here for a "second opinion" on where the dish should go, because he couldn't find a way to get it over the line of trees... GRRRR so now we have another apointment tomorrow (1 1/2 weeks later) to see if they can give us a dish... it's WAY annoying and frustrating... and that was monday... (mostly a wasted day...)

The rest of the week was pretty normal... just classes and work for Jonathan and work and tutoring for me... and not much else....

I did however start to watch Stargate SG-1... it's Jonathan's favorite show... and every now and again we watch it and i'm always so lost... so I've started from the begining and right now i'm in the middle of season 2... it's amazing how much time there is to watch TV on weekends and what now in the boring town of carbondal ;)

This weekend I did get out and buy a dress for mark's wedding and i like it... i also got new black shoes since i've been using the same ones since viki's wedding... (it's about time for new ones...)

I know i've been laking in posts recently but i guess the truth of it is that not much goes on in carbondale so there's not much to write about all the time...
